Indian-American joins Minority Business RoundTable’s national board of advisors

Mohinder Singh Taneja has been appointed to the National Board of Advisors of the Minority Business Roundtable (MBRT). 

MBRT is a Washington-based nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting minority, veteran, and women business owners. This board works closely with top-tier entrepreneurs to address public policy challenges and advocate for minority-owned businesses.

Taneja is an Indian businessman, founder, and chairman of Sterling Universal Group, Inc., a medical technology company, and its subsidiary, Vedi Robotics, which focuses on assistive robotics. He has a strong background in public service, particularly on Long Island, New York, where he has been involved in various business and community outreach initiatives.

Taneja is known as the "Ambassador of Diversity" for his efforts to promote cross-cultural dialogue and business development. He co-founded the American Punjabi Society Inc., where he serves as Senior Vice President. This organization fosters open discussions among different cultures. Additionally, he co-founded the Indian American Chamber of Commerce on Long Island to enhance both local and international trade cooperation.

Taneja also represents the U.S. in the Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Development Forum, an organization focused on the development of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in India. His role in this forum facilitates cross-border business cooperation, contributing to broader international economic growth.
