Expressing deep appreciation for their service, the lawmakers emphasized the importance of honoring veterans' sacrifices and reaffirmed their commitment to supporting them and their families.

"This Veterans Day, we must honor and thank the many generations of men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country’s freedom. It is the highest calling," Khanna wrote on X.
He also stressed the need to ensure that veterans and their families have access to essential resources, saying, "Let us recommit to ensuring our veterans and military families always have the resources and support they need to live full lives and thrive in their communities."

Veterans Day, originally known as Armistice Day, is celebrated on Nov. 11 each year. First observed to commemorate the end of World War I, the holiday has since been broadened to honor all U.S. veterans. The day serves as a reminder of the enduring dedication of America’s armed forces, and, as these lawmakers highlighted, the importance of continuing to support veterans long after their service ends.
