Indian American man held for threatening Jewish organization
The case involving Patel has been investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force.

A Florida man of Indian descent has been charged with making death threats to Jews in a phone call to a Jewish community group. Deep Alpesh Kumar Patel, 21, has been accused of making a threatening phone call to the World Jewish Congress in New York City, where he allegedly left a voicemail in which he made threats against Jewish individuals.
“If I had a chance, I would kill every single one of you Israelis. Every single one of you! Cause mass genocide of every single Israeli,” Patel was quoted as saying in a release issued by the Justice Department.
The Florida Department of Law Enforcement, the Sarasota Police Department, and the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office have all assisted the Federal Bureau of Investigation's Joint Terrorism Task Force in their investigation of the Patel case.
Assistant United States Attorney Risha Asokan will be responsible for the prosecution. The case will be investigated by the FBI’s joint terrorism task force. If convicted, Patel will face a total of five years in prison.
