Indian American Neeraj Tolmare joins Crocs board

Footwear brand Crocs adds Indian American Neeraj Tolmare as its audit committee board director

Indian American executive Neeraj Tolmare has been appointed as a board of director of popular Colorado-based footwear brand Crocs Inc. According to the company's statement, Tolmare’s appointment is effective from January 1, 2024, and he will initially join the board's audit committee.

Andrew Rees, the chief executive officer at Crocs Inc., said, "Neeraj's terrific experience elevating business through technology will help us to identify and solve for the next wave of opportunities in digitization and automation for scale."

Reacting to the new role, Tolmare said, "The opportunity to join the board at Crocs, Inc. is a perfect fit with my principles and values, and my passion to work for brands that are deeply entrenched in the society we live in and connect on a personal level, with a global audience."

Thomas Smach, chairman of the board of Crocs, Inc, stressed that Tolmare's distinctive ability to elevate business practices and successfully scale online growth through technological advancement will lend guidance to create lasting impact.

Tolmare, who currently serves as the global chief information officer for The Coco-Cola Company, has over twenty years of expertise in leading technology teams and digital transformation initiatives across industries. He also serves on the board of Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta and the Georgia Tech Research Institute, Center for Development and Application of Internet of Things.

The Indian American has served at Fortune 50 companies such as HP Inc, Cisco Systems and also startups like Palm Inc, and has held various positions leading global technology, data and ecommerce functions to support double-digit growth for their online businesses. He graduated from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business, South Dakota School of Mines & Technology, and College of Engineering in Pune, India.
