Indian American student simplifies 100-year-old math problem

Divya Tyagi, an Indian-American aerospace engineering graduate student at Pennsylvania State University, has simplified a century-old mathematical problem that could advance wind energy research. 

Her breakthrough, published in Wind Energy Science, builds on the work of British aerodynamicist Hermann Glauert and improves understanding of wind turbine aerodynamics, potentially increasing turbine efficiency and energy output.
