Indian-American Houston entrepreneur Hubert Vaz-Nayak, a former corporate executive, has found a new purpose in early childhood education. Vaz-Nayak left a successful career in management consulting, where he advised Fortune 500 companies, to launch his own business; Children’s Lighthouse, that makes a positive difference in the community.

Children’s Lighthouse has become especially popular among Indian American business owners, with around 60 percent of its locations owned by local Indian entrepreneurs. These owners, like Vaz-Nayak, are driven by a desire to build a business that offers both financial independence and community impact.

Vaz-Nayak’s first Children’s Lighthouse location in Houston became profitable in just 10 weeks, allowing him to quickly achieve financial stability while focusing on what matters most to him: supporting families and spending time with his own. Today, he continues to expand his impact through additional locations, each one dedicated to fostering early learning and family support.

Vaz-Nayak is eager to share his story and offer advice to others who want to build a purpose-driven business.
