The University of Texas at Dallas recognized Raghu Yarlagadda and V. Padmanabhan, with the Distinguished Alumni Award at the 2025 UT Dallas Awards Gala held earlier this month.
Raghu Yarlagadda, who earned a Master of Science in electrical engineering from UT Dallas in 2007, is a trailblazer in the tech and finance world and co-founded FalconX, now valued at over $8 billion.

As CEO, he has led the platform to become one of the largest digital asset trading firms globally. With a career spanning roles at Motorola, MIC Electronics, Google, and eightfold.ai, Yarlagadda is credited with foundational contributions to video streaming and product development for Chromebooks.
He also holds an MBA from Harvard and plays an active role in educational initiatives in India, where he serves as CTO of Sarada Educational Institutions.
V. Padmanabhan holds both a Master of Science (1987) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in management science (1990) from UT Dallas. Currently the Unilever chaired professor of Marketing at INSEAD, Singapore, Padmanabhan is renowned for his work on pricing, supply chain management, and business dynamics in developing economies. His work explaining the "bullwhip effect" in supply chains is now foundational in business education and research.
