Indian Americans welcome Trump’s victory in the polls

The victory has sparked global reactions, with Trump’s supporters hopeful for the future trajectory of the U.S. under his leadership.

Indian Americans have expressed enthusiastic support for Donald Trump's historic win over Vice President Kamala Harris in the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election. 

Media outlet Fox News declared Trump's victory first, followed by other news outlets calling the race once he won the required number of electoral votes, marking a dramatic comeback for the Republican leader who previously left office in 2021.

Nikki Haley, Former South Carolina Governor 
 



Former South Carolina Governor and U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley congratulated Trump, emphasizing the need for national unity. In a post on X, Haley stated, “The American people have spoken. Congratulations to President Trump on a strong win. Now, it’s time for the American people to come together, pray for our country, and start the process of a peaceful transition. That begins with Kamala Harris conceding. You can’t just talk about unity in a campaign, you have to show it regardless of the outcome.”

Vivek Ramaswamy, Entrepreneur and former presidential candidate:



Entrepreneur and former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy echoed similar sentiments, celebrating what he called a “1980-style electoral *landslide*.” In a separate post, Ramaswamy remarked, “Now let’s go save a country.”

Bobby Jindal, Former Louisiana Governor 



Former Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal also praised Trump’s victory, expressing optimism for the future. “What a great day for America! Let’s take a moment to celebrate. Then begins the hard work to get our country back on track!” he posted on X.

Utsav Sanduja, Founder of Hindus for America First



Utsav Sanduja, Congressional Briefer and Founder of Hindus for America First, hailed Trump for his role in averting global conflict. “Congratulations @realDonaldTrump. You just saved the world from WWIII. Conservatism won across the board,” Sanduja said.

Indian American venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani also shared her excitement about Trump's win, predicting significant economic growth under his leadership. “Watch our economy become even more of a rocketship!!. Musk will clean up the regulatory state like no one before,” she said on X.

Arvind Ganti saw Trump’s victory as an opportunity to reform immigration policies. “Spot on! Trump has the chance to overhaul the immigration system fully and let talented folks in as a priority; eliminate the green card backlog of Indians; eliminate illegal immigration; fix the Dreamer/DACA/asylum process and focus on making legal immigration straightforward… big legacy opportunity!” Ganti commented on X.
