Indian billiards prodigy to compete in junior 10-ball world championships

The 9-year-old, Billiards prodigy from India, Tanvee Vallem is set to compete in the Predator WPA World 10-Ball Junior Championship, set to take place in Klagenfurt, Austria from October 19-22, 2023. 

Vallem most recently made headlines with her participation in the Predator World Junior 9 Ball Championship in Puerto Rico as one of the youngest candidates. She will again be among the youngest to compete in the upcoming championship.

Currently part of a Break and Run Premier Junior instructional program, Vallem is coached by the Professional Billiard Instructors Association master instructor Roy Pastor, who was recently selected as the winner of the prestigious Jerry Briesath Instructor of the Year Award.

The championship will feature a challenging 10-Ball format, with matches raced to 7. Vallem who hails from Hyderabad will reoresent India alongside noted players including Alok Kumar, Chitra.M, Ranveer Duggal and Laksh Sharma in their respective divisions.
