A fundraising event for Mayor Bill McLeod’s re-election campaign took place at the Marriott Chicago Northwest in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, on Oct. 17, raising over US$25,000.
Indian community leaders come together to support McLeod of Hoffman Estates and help raise funds for his campaign. This significant sum raised reflects the strong backing for McLeod as he runs for a seventh term, community leaders say. The election is in Apr. 2025.

Suresh Bodiwala / Mayor Bill McLeod and Neil KhotSunil Shah, founder of the Federation of Indian Associations, expressed gratitude for McLeod’s support of diverse communities, noting, “He is a friend to our community, ensuring Hoffman Estates remains welcoming and prosperous.”
Local business leaders Amarbir Singh Ghoman and Harsharan Singh Ghoman commended the mayor’s pro-business policies, emphasizing how they have fostered an environment for businesses to thrive.
The evening commenced with Neil Khot, president, CEO, and founder of Rely Services and a prominent community figure, praising the mayor's dedication, saying, “He has transformed Hoffman Estates from a quiet town into a thriving community where businesses flourish and families thrive.”
The event featured a talented lineup, including performances by flutist Raju Bankapur and singer Hardik Tailor, alongside a dinner showcasing a variety of Indian cuisine.
