The Consulate General of India in Dubai announced the successful completion of its Amnesty Facilitation operations on Jan. 1, 2025.
Since Sept. 1, 2024, the Consulate General of India in Dubai has been running Facilitation Centres at both the Consulate and Al Awir to help Indian citizens benefit from the ongoing UAE Visa Amnesty initiative.
In partnership with several Indian community organizations, the Consulate has assisted over 15,000 people. This includes issuing 2,117 passports, and 3,589 emergency certificates, and helping secure more than 3,700 exit permits.
The statement issued on Jan. 1 stated, “Many individuals benefited from our guidance in obtaining fee and penalty waivers from UAE authorities. As we conclude this operation, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to the UAE Government for its unwavering support. We are also grateful to the dedicated volunteers from diaspora organizations who played an instrumental role in making this initiative a success.”
Furthermore, Indian citizens are encouraged to continue following the procedures set by local authorities regarding entry, work, and residency in the UAE.
“The Consulate remains committed to supporting the Indian community and ensuring that every citizen has access to the services they need,” said the Consulate.
