Indian diaspora honors Saurabh Dwivedi for quality journalism

At the Foundation of Indian-Americans (FIA) New England’s Boston Event, Dwivedi announced the launch of Pragyan, a new initiative supporting research scholars and collaborative work.

Saurabh Dwivedi, the Editor-in-Chief of The Lallan Top, was honored by the Foundation of Indian-Americans (FIA) New England on Feb. 16 for his contributions to journalism. The event organized in Quincy, Boston was a tribute to the well-known Indian journalist's impactful work.

Dwivedi announced the launch of his new initiative, Pragyan, on the occasion. It is a platform designed to support research scholars and encourage collaborative scholarly work. His dedication to intellectual growth was further reflected when he shared a list of 20 must-read books that have profoundly influenced his personal and professional life. 

He expressed his gratitude for the honor and emphasized the importance of media in connecting cultures and communities. He also acknowledged the role of the Indian diaspora in shaping global conversations.

The event was hosted by president Abhishek Singh, Vice President Rakesh Kavsari, Secretary Amol Penshanwar, and executives Anand Sharma, Manisha Kumar, and Sanjiv Tripathi. 

They warmly welcomed Dwivedi and presented him with a traditional shawl and a token of appreciation in recognition of his dedication to truth and quality journalism.

“Mr. Dwivedi’s work at The Lallan Top has not only reshaped Indian journalism but has also made a profound impact globally, giving voice to the voiceless and tackling critical issues with compassion and depth,” said Singh.

The event brought together attendees from various Indian-American communities, including representatives from Sankalp and Marathi Mandal. Sonali Jadhav, President of Marathi Mandal, along with core team members Sandeep Jadhav and Vicky Jadhav, were present to honor the occasion.

Special guests from across the country, including Vikash Deshpande and Krishna Gudipati from Washington, D.C., and Ravi Kumar from New York, also attended the event, along with local community members Vinay Prashad, Sunny, and Ishwar.

The event concluded with heartfelt thanks from Rahul Gholap and Neeraj, who praised the significance of the gathering in strengthening bonds within the Indian-American community.
