A 40-year-old internal medicine specialist from Michigan’s Rochester Hills has been arraigned on multiple felony charges. He is accused of secretly recording nude images and videos of unsuspecting children and women over the past six years.
According to an official release from the Sheriff’s Office, the accused, Dr. Oumair Aejaz allegedly used hidden cameras to capture footage in hospital rooms, changing areas, closets, bathrooms, bedrooms, and even a local swim club.
Aejaz, who is affiliated with Ascension Genesys Hospital and Henry Ford Macomb, is also accused of recording sexual encounters with numerous women, as well as hospital patients who were either asleep or unconscious.
One of the most disgusting, potentially prolific and disturbing sexual predator cases I have ever seen in my career. There are thousands of investigative hours ahead, but we will do everything to hold this individual to full account. pic.twitter.com/E8A8jieEe4

The investigation began earlier this month after the sheriff's office received a tip, leading to Aejaz's arrest the following day. Authorities confiscated six computers, four cell phones, and 15 external storage devices from Aejaz’s home, uncovering over 13,000 videos. The forensic examination of these materials is expected to take six months.
Prosecutor Karen D. McDonald emphasized the gravity of the situation, noting that “these are children and moms at a swim school... They were victimized by a person of trust in the community – a medical doctor.”
Aejaz, who is an Indian citizen working in the U.S. on a visa, was arraigned on Aug.13 in 52-3 District Court in Rochester Hills. He faces ten charges, including child sexually abusive activity, using a computer to create child sexually abusive material, and recording both children and women while nude.
Commenting on the case, Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard said on his X (formerly Twitter), “One of the most disgusting, potentially prolific and disturbing sexual predator cases I have ever seen in my career. There are thousands of investigative hours ahead, but we will do everything to hold this individual to full account.”
Sheriff Bouchard urged potential victims to come forward, as the investigation may extend beyond Michigan to other states or countries where Aejaz has worked.
