The Government of India has launched the fifth edition of the ‘Bharat ko Jaaniye Quiz,’ inviting members of the Indian diaspora and foreign nationals to engage in an interactive journey exploring India’s heritage, culture, and achievements.
Launched by External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar on Nov. 11, the initiative is part of the government's ongoing efforts to strengthen ties with Indian communities abroad.

“This quiz provides a unique way for people to explore India meaningfully, learning about its culture, ethos, history, achievements, and even its aspirations,” Jaishankar remarked, encouraging global participants to deepen their connection to India."Come, participate in the quiz and join the incredible India journey.”
Open to individuals aged 14-50, the quiz is divided into two categories: Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), as well as foreign nationals. This structure aims to engage a diverse global audience interested in India’s culture and traditions. The quiz is live and accessible online, with details promoted through Indian embassies and consulates worldwide.
For the top 30 quiz winners, the Ministry of External Affairs has arranged a two-week immersive tour of India, offering participants a firsthand experience of the nation’s cultural vibrancy.
This launch is part of a broader suite of diaspora engagement initiatives from the Ministry of External Affairs, including the Know India Programme, the Global Pravasi Rishta Portal, and the Pravasi Teerth Darshan Yojana, all aimed at further strengthening bonds between India and its international communities.
