Indian men's and women's 4x400m relay teams qualify for Paris Olympics
With 19 members now qualified in athletics, including defending javelin throw gold-medalist Neeraj Chopra, India's presence in Paris strengthens.

The Indian women's and men's 4x400m relay teams have qualified for the 2024 Paris Olympics after finishing second in their second-round heats at the World Athletics Relays in Nassau, Bahamas on May.5.
The women's team of Rupal Chaudhary, MR Poovamma, Jyothika Sri Dandi and Subha Venkatesan posted a time finish of three minutes and 29.35 seconds, behind the Jamaican team (3:28.54) in heat number one.
The men's team of Muhammed Anas Yahiya, Muhammed Ajmal, Arokia Rajiv and Amoj Jacob finished behind US (2:59.95) with a time finish of three minutes and 3.23 seconds.
India now has 19 qualified members in the athletics department in a list that also includes defending gold-medallist javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra.
In the men's 20km race walk, seven Indians met the Olympics qualifying standard. However, as per present rules of the discipline, each national federation can only send a maximum of three athletes to Paris. Race walkers Servin Sebastian, Arshpreet Singh and Suraj Panwar are scheduled to compete for India.
Other Indian athletes who could possibly feature at Paris include Avinash Sable and Parul Chaudhary from the men's and women's 3000m steeplechase, Kishore Jena in the men's javelin throw, and the duo of Priyanka Goswami and Akshdeep Singh in the marathon race walk mixed relay.
Unfortunately, Indian long jumper Murali Sreeshankar won't be travelling to Paris despite meeting the qualifying criteria due to a knee injury.
The US men's, women's and mixed-gender 4x400m relay teams have also each qualified for the Paris Olympics.
