A 33-year-old Indian-origin man allegedly killed his younger brother and injured his mother before taking his own life, according to the New York Police Department's crime scene unit. Karamjit Multani shot his 27-year-old brother, Vipanpal Multani, dead and also shot his mother in the stomach in their Richmond Hill home before turning the gun on himself, as per CBS News.

The incident took place on June.8 when the family was enjoying a quiet evening with pizza, but around 10.30 pm, Karamjit allegedly entered Vipanpal's room and shot him without warning, according to Bhupinder Multani, the brothers' father, as reported by CBS News.

The father managed to escape and seek help from a neighbor, who called 911. Upon entering the house, the neighbor found Vipanpal Multani shot and pleading for help. "He told me, 'Please, don't let me die’," the neighbour said. "He died in my hands later," reported CBS News.

The neighbor said Karamjit, who was married with three kids and financially stable, showed no signs of aggression, and they had no idea he had a gun.

"There weren't big problems. Just small disagreements, nothing major," the father said when asked if there were any issues between his sons.

"Karamjit was one of the nicest, coolest guys, always joking around. What could have been going through his mind to make him explode like that?" said Jaspreet Singh, the brother-in-law of the two brothers.
