India’s popular traditional drink, Goli Soda, has made a strong comeback in a new avatar—'Goli Pop Soda'—and is entering global markets including the USA, UK, Europe, and Gulf countries.

On Mar.23, the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA), under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India, announced that Goli Pop Soda has received an enthusiastic response from consumers in international markets.

The traditional fizzy drink has been reinvented with a modern appeal. A key partnership with Fair Exports India has helped distribute the drink to Lulu Hypermarket, one of the largest retail chains in the Gulf region. Thousands of bottles are now on shelves, and customers are loving it, the ministry said.

In the UK, Goli Pop Soda has become a trending beverage, combining traditional Indian flavors with a modern, fun design. Its signature pop opener, which brings back the nostalgic fizz of the original Goli Soda, has especially caught attention.

APEDA supported a special launch ceremony on Feb.4 to celebrate this success, organized by ABNN (Association of Beverages & Natural Nutrition). The event marked India’s renewed efforts to promote homegrown food and drink products globally.

Goli Pop Soda was also showcased at the International Food & Drink Event (IFE) 2025 in London from Mar.17– Mar.19, giving Indian exporters the chance to connect with global buyers and explore new business opportunities.
