A letter dated Mar.1 from Prime Minister Narendra Modi to NASA astronaut Sunita Williams is circulating on social media following her safe return to Earth after being stranded in space for nine months.
What was initially a short mission turned into an extended ordeal for Sunita and her crewmate, Butch Wilmore. As the world eagerly awaited their return in early March, Modi penned a heartfelt letter to Sunita and entrusted it to former NASA astronaut Mike Massimino, who visited India last month.
