Sports entertainment provider company, K1NGM4K3RS Inc., has announced its plans to introduce the traditional Indian sport of Kabaddi to the United States under the rebranded name Battle Tag.
The company has partnered with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) and Zuffa, LLC, to host the inaugural Battle Tag Expo and launch the Battle Tag League in September 2025.
Indian American Kevin Varghese, the founder of K1NGM4K3RS Inc., will be meeting with potential stakeholders in Mumbai this week, including executives from Indian professional sports teams and independent investors. The goal is to secure team franchises and ensure that Battle Tag honors the heritage of kabaddi while upholding high standards of ethics and professionalism.
“Battle Tag is set to bring the great Indian sport of Kabaddi to the United States and as such, it’s vital that we involve the leading players, investors and administrators from India in our project. We want to ensure that Battle Tag respects the heritage of Kabaddi and that we attain the highest standards and ethics,” Varghese said.
The Battle Tag Expo will be held at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas, a venue known for its cutting-edge facilities and vibrant atmosphere. Beau Orth, senior director at UFC Apex, expressed enthusiasm for hosting the event, emphasizing its potential to create new trends in sports entertainment.
“Hosting the inaugural Battle Tag [Expo] at The UFC Apex Arena in Las Vegas is incredibly thrilling! It’s an opportunity to launch a groundbreaking sporting event in one of the most iconic venues for combat sports. The excitement is amplified by the anticipation of setting new trends and creating unforgettable moments in the world of sports entertainment,” Orth said.
In addition to the professional league, K1NGM4K3RS Inc. plans to launch a high school pilot program in collaboration with athletic associations from New York, Florida, Texas, and Los Angeles. This will be followed by a collegiate program and a College Raid Series tournament, culminating in a grand finale in Barcelona.
