Infosys, an Indian IT company, made it onto TIME's "World's Best Companies 2023" list. The company, headquartered in Bengaluru, was the highest-ranking Indian company at #64 on the list, which was topped by Microsoft, led by Indian-American CEO, Satya Nadella.
Infosys shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), “Infosys has been featured in TIME World’s Best Companies 2023 list. We are among the top 3 global professional services firms and the only brand from India in the Top 100 global rankings.”
The list, curated by TIME and Statista, is dominated by global tech giants, including Microsoft, Apple, Alphabet (Google's parent company), and Meta Platforms, which occupy the top four spots. Other companies on the list include Accenture, Pfizer, American Express, BMW Group, Dell Technologies, Louis Vuitton, Delta Air Lines, Starbucks, Volkswagen Group, General Motors, and Ford.
The rankings are based on revenue growth, employee satisfaction surveys, and environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) data. Infosys had an overall score of 88.38 and their growth rate was ‘high’. Ranking 135th on the sustainability list, they ranked the overall employee satisfaction rank of the company at 103rd on the list.
Microsoft ranked top with an overall score of 94.46. Their sustainability rank was 8th, employee satisfaction rank 1st and growth rate marked ‘very high’.
