The initial registration period for the highly coveted H-1B visas for foreign guest workers for fiscal 2025 will end at 12 noon Eastern Time on Mar. 22, according to a federal agency.
During this period, prospective petitioners and their legal representatives are required to utilize an online account provided by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services to electronically register each beneficiary for the selection process. Additionally, they must pay the associated registration fee for each beneficiary.
It was also mentioned that online account users would have the ability to collaborate on registrations and petitions, benefiting from enhanced organizational account features within their online accounts.
According to a media release, USCIS online accounts now provide access to Form I-129, used for petitioning non-immigrant workers under the H-1B program, as well as Form I-907, which is utilized for requesting premium processing service.
USCIS is set to commence accepting online filings for H-1B cap petitions on Apr. 1. “We will announce when online filing of non-cap H-1B petitions is available,” USCIS said.
The H-1B visa is a type of nonimmigrant work visa that enables U.S. employers to recruit and employ foreign workers possessing specialized skills in the United States for a designated duration.
