Inogen appoints Mira Kirti Sahney to board of directors

Sahney currently serves as a board member of Claria Medical, a privately held company in San Francisco specializing in minimally invasive surgical tools.

California-based Inogen, Inc. has announced the appointment of Mira Kirti Sahney to its board of directors, effective Jan.31, 2025. Concurrently, Tom West, who has served as a director since April 2023, retired from the Board on Jan.30.

Welcoming Sahney to the Board, Elizabeth Mora, Chairperson of the Board, highlighted her extensive expertise in the medical device industry.

"We are thrilled to welcome Mira Sahney to the Inogen Board. Mira brings considerable management, technical, and operational experience in the medical device field to Inogen," Mora said. "Mira's appointment will further strengthen Inogen's Board with another talented, experienced, and capable member as we advance our position as a global leader in respiratory care."

Mora also acknowledged Tom West’s contributions during his tenure. "On behalf of the board of directors, I would also like to thank Tom West for his contributions to the Board and Company. He has played an important role in the transformation of Inogen over the past two years."

Sahney currently serves as a board member of Claria Medical, a privately held company in San Francisco specializing in minimally invasive surgical tools. She has been on Claria Medical’s board since 2017. Previously, she was president of the Pelvic Health Operating Unit at Medtronic (NYSE: MDT) from 2021 to 2024. Before that, she served as president, chief executive officer, and director of Hyalex Orthopaedics, a venture-backed medical device innovator, from 2017 to 2021.

Her earlier career included leadership roles at Smith & Nephew (LON: SNN), where she was senior vice president and General Manager for both the Ear, Nose & Throat and Gynecology businesses. She also co-founded Myomo, Inc. (NYSE: MYO), a wearable medical robotics company focused on neurological disorders.

Sahney holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, where she graduated summa cum laude. She also earned an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University, an M.S. in Engineering and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Expressing her enthusiasm for the new role, Sahney stated, "It is such an exciting time in the Company's history. I look forward to helping Inogen continue to deliver value for shareholders and best-in-class solutions for patients."

In connection with her appointment, Sahney will join Inogen’s Compliance Committee as well as the Nominating and Governance Committee.
