International Hindi Association Indiana to host “Hindi Diwas” celebrations

This year, the celebration will be themed“Amrit Kaal Hindi Diwas”.

The Indiana chapter of the International Hindi Association has announced a grand celebration to commemorate the 75th anniversary of Hindi Diwas (Hindi Day) on Sept.14. 

The occasion will mark a significant milestone in honoring the linguistic and cultural heritage of the Hindi language. Hindi Diwas has been observed annually to mark the adoption of Hindi as India's official language since its founding in 1949. 

This year, the celebration will be themed“Amrit Kaal Hindi Diwas”. The event will bring together language enthusiasts, scholars, and dignitaries from across the nation, the organizers said.

The opening ceremony will feature a keynote speech from a well-known expert on Indian culture and languages. Speeches by public leaders and notable individuals will also be included. The event will feature a program with traditional music, dance, and Hindi drama performances.

In addition, the event will include literary sessions with poetry recitations, storytelling, and discussions with renowned Hindi authors and poets. Students can take part in art competitions and quizzes related to Hindi.

The organization will honor individuals who have significantly contributed to the development and preservation of Hindi during an awards ceremony at the event.
Government officials, cultural ambassadors, and representatives from language institutions are among the distinguished guests who will grace the 75th Hindi Diwas event.

"This anniversary is a testament to the enduring legacy of Hindi and its role in our cultural identity. We invite everyone to join us in this grand celebration and to continue supporting the promotion of Hindi for future generations."
