Ishpreet Singh has been appointed as the Chief Information Officer (CIO) at Black Duck Software. In this role, he will lead the company’s technology strategy, ensuring its alignment with business objectives and driving a comprehensive digital transformation.
Black Duck Software is a leading provider of software development and security solutions, headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts.
Singh believes that Black Duck is uniquely positioned as a newly independent organization with a strong track record, an extensive portfolio, and significant potential for rapid growth.

With extensive 20 years of experience in technology leadership, Singh served as the Global Chief Information Officer at Black Duck and is a member of the CNBC Technology Executive Council and Evanta's CIO Governing Body.
Before this, he was the Global CIO at Qualys and an advisor at Glean. His leadership roles include SVP of Business Operations and IT at Pluralsight and Global Head of IT at Imperva. He also held the position of CIO at data.ai and led enterprise applications and IT services at Splunk.
Earlier in his career, he worked in consulting as a Business Consulting Manager at Deloitte and BCG.
These roles, across the San Francisco Bay Area and beyond, have equipped him with a robust understanding of IT strategy, business operations, and enterprise technology solutions.
Singh is committed to implementing innovative solutions, including a cutting-edge AI strategy, to foster growth and scalability in the organization. A critical aspect of his responsibilities involves strengthening enterprise security by developing and maintaining a robust cybersecurity framework. This ensures the protection of the company’s assets and data while adhering to industry standards and regulations.
