JAINA kicks off planning for 2025 convention in Chicago

The Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) on June.15 announced the start of preparations for its grand convention scheduled to be held from July.3 till July.6, 2025, in Chicago.
The kick-off meeting was attended by five past presidents of JAINA, 27 members of the JAINA Convention Board, the JSMC (Jain Society of Metropolitan Chicago) Executive Committee and Board of Trustees, along with numerous dignitaries, leaders, and volunteers from both JSMC and JAINA.
The co-conveners, Vipul Shah and Jignesh Jain, gave a brief overview of the planned events, cultural shows, and keynote speakers for the convention.

The convention is set to be held in Chicago. / Courtesy PhotoAfter more than a month of discussion and a poll on various suggestions, the theme inspired by the Jain saying ‘Parasparopagraho Jīvānām’ was chosen. This theme, Unity in Diversity: A Path to Peace, reflects the organization's goal of fostering peaceful and harmonious coexistence. They aim to ensure that every voice is heard, every tradition is celebrated, and everyone feels included. The goal is to highlight the rich diversity within the Jain community and demonstrate how their differences unite them rather than separate them, JAINA said.
JAINA also unveiled the new logo for the JAINA Convention 2025. The organization received an enthusiastic response to its call for designs, with over 100 submissions from more than 50 talented artists. After consideration by the conveners, Rahul Jain’s Marketing team, and the Convention Board, they selected a logo designed by Jaya Parmar from Los Angeles.

The registration fee for the first 1,000 visitors has been set at $229. After reaching this number, the registration fee for adults will increase to $269, then $309, and finally $349. The early bird fee for kids is $169, rising to $259. Additional activities, including kids club, youth activities, Jain connect, and YJP, are also available for an extra charge.
Founded in 1981, JAINA is a non-profit organization serving as the umbrella entity for over 70 Jain centers and temples in the USA and Canada. Operating with a dedicated team of hundreds of volunteers, JAINA functions as a philanthropic, educational, and service-oriented organization. It serves as the largest Jain organization outside India, representing nearly a quarter of a million Jains in North America.
