Jake Paul, a YouTube influencer-turned-boxer, has accepted Indian professional boxer Neeraj Goyat's challenge to a boxing match.

The feud began when Goyat posted an Instagram video in which he criticized Paul's fighting style, calling it "slow" and saying that Paul only ever won easy fights. “Fight with a real boxer. Fight with me,” said Goyat.

“If you are a real American, accept my challenge. Your place, your time…Jake Paul are you ready?” He added before proceeding to tear Paul’s photograph in a dramatic fashion and commenting “this will happen to you!’

Paul responded to the challenge with a yes, within 24 hours. “Brother you too small. Walking around at 150 lbs? Maybe I tie one arm behind my back?” Paul said. The American weighs an estimated 185 lbs and stands 6 feet 1 inch tall. Goyat weighs an estimated 147 lbs and stands 5 feet 7 inches tall.

In another comment under Goyat’s challenge post, Paul said this is not India vs U.S. and he appreciates all his Indian fans. Speaking of his response to the boxing challenge, Paul said “kisi bhi samay kisi bhi jagah (any place, any time).” The details such as venue and time related to Paul and Goyat’s fight are yet to be worked out.

Goyat is an Olympic-level fighter, having boxed at the 2016 Summer Olympics. His current record is 18-4-2, meaning he has won a total of 18 fights, lost four, and two resulted in a draw. Paul sports an 8-1 professional boxing record. He recently fought professional boxer Andre August on December 15 and won the match.

Paul aka‘The Problem Child’ has fought against YouTubers Deji and AnEsonGib, retired basketball player Nate Robinson, former mixed martial artist Ben Askren, five-time Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) champion Tyron Woodley, Brazilian MMA star Anderson Silva, professional boxer Tommy Fury, former UFC contender Nate Diaz, and Hasim Rahman Jr.
