Jitendra Muchhal has been elected as the chairperson of the board of trustees (BOT) for the Maheshwari Mahasabha of North America (MMNA) for the 2025-2029 term.
Muchhal, a longtime contributor to MMNA’s growth and vision, has been involved with the organization for over 25 years in various leadership roles, including as general secretary and vice president of the National Executive Committee (NEC). Based in Princeton, New Jersey, he is also engaged in several other diaspora initiatives.
MMNA recently concluded its elections for the 2025-2029 term, selecting officials for both the BOT and the NEC. The newly appointed BOT members include Narendra Zamwar, Kailash Attal, Ashish Daga, Rajesh Rathi, Poonam Bhutada, Sachin Somani, Sunita Maheshwari, Manoj Gandhi, Sunil Soni, and Prabhulal Rathi.
In the National Executive Committee, Sharad Mantri has been elected as president. Originally from Gulbarga, Karnataka, Mantri has been associated with MMNA since 2004. He previously served as the Chapter President for Houston in 2014 and played a key role as Convener of the IMRC Convention 2022 in Houston. Committed to MMNA’s mission, he aims to strengthen collaboration across chapters and regions.
Supporting Mantri in the NEC leadership team are Aditya Vikram Daga, Namrata Bajaj, Rahul Nawander, and Surabhi Rathi as Vice Presidents; Ashish Jakhete as Secretary; Alok Modani as Treasurer; Swapnil Laddha as Joint Treasurer; and Deepali Dargar as Joint Secretary.
Founded in 1983, MMNA is a prominent organization dedicated to preserving and promoting the cultural heritage of the Maheshwari community in the United States and Canada.
With over 4,500 registered members across 10 chapters, MMNA fosters unity and engagement through educational support, matrimonial services, and philanthropic initiatives.
