Kaival Gyan Mandir Chicago marked its 17th Pratishtha and Guru Purnima Mahotsav earlier this month in the presence of Indian spiritual leader, Jagadguru.
The celebrations kicked off with devotees welcoming Jagadguru, who launched a new website for the temple. The day featured a series of spiritual activities including kirtan, satsang, and a traditional Bharatanatyam dance performed by the youth.
A special puja was conducted for chief diety Paramguru and other deities, followed by a cultural program presented by the youth. They also explained the 24-task list to commemorate Jagatguru Amrut Janmotsava ( 75th birth anniversary.)
On the second day of the event, adult devotees of the temple participated in a competition, memorizing verses from the 18 holy scriptures. An Annakoot offering was made to Paramguru and other deities, and everyone had the opportunity to partake in Paramguru’s Paduka Puja.
The Hindu festival of Gurupurnima was celebrated on July 21, with a seven-hour Akhand Kaival Dhun, bhajan kirtan, and satsang. The night of July 22, saw a large gathering of devotees at the temple and virtual participants attending the completion ceremony of 75 Balkuver Ashtaka Patha, which had been ongoing for 75 days, in honor of Jagatguru Amrut Janmotsava.
Jagadguru is scheduled to arrive in the USA in September for his Yatra. He will impart blessings during the Guru Mahima Parayana, accompanied by Sadhvi Gitadidi, in New Jersey. The Guru Mahima Parayan will take place from September 19-22 at Royal Albert Hall in Fords, NJ.
