Indian director Karan Johar held a special screening of his Kuch Kuch Hota Hai in Mumbai on October 15, marking 25 years of his directorial debut with the film. A report by NDTV revealed that Bollywood actors Shah Rukh Khan and Rani Mukerji joined Johar at the theatre to talk about the film's journey.

Addressing the gathering, NDTV reported Johar saying that the film is very special as it marked his debut. "It's what began my journey," he said. The movie also featured Salman Khan, Anupam Kher and Archana Puran Singh.

The 57-year-old hero Khan reportedly spoke about the significance of film in their lives and the bond shared with director Johar. The actor who featured in Jawan and Pathaan recently said, "We make films, some get forgotten in time, some do very well at that time and some just don't do good at all. But this film (Kuch Kuch Hota Hai) has stood the test of time. It has aged nearly as good as Karan has."

"To me, this film was important because Karan at that time was 23-24 years old and I have a son now Aryan, who is that old. Now when I look back upon it, I feel very happy, very proud as I launched a young son because I was a little more established than Karan was at that time," Khan added.

Dharma Productions backed by Karan Johar shared a picture of the trio at the event on its social handle and captioned it saying that a lot happens after seeing them all together in one frame. It added, "Missing our Anjali the most today! The celebration of Pyaar (Love) and Dosti (friendship) just got bigger and grander for #25YearsOfKuchKuchHotaHai."
