The Indian-origin lawyer introduced his parents, Pramod and Anjana, along with his sister, Nisha, who had traveled from India to attend the hearing.
The heartfelt gesture of reverence was further highlighted when Patel was seen bowing down to touch his parents' feet before the hearing—a traditional Indian gesture of respect.
The touching video of the moment went viral, with many praising Patel's display of cultural pride and family devotion. His parents, who traveled across the world to support their son, were visibly moved by the gesture.
Patel also took a moment during his Senate hearing to express his condolences for the tragic plane crash that occurred on Jan. 29. He shared his deep sorrow and sympathy for the victims and their families and acknowledged the devastating loss.

If confirmed, Kash Patel will make history as the first Hindu and Indian American to serve as FBI Director.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Richmond and also earned a certificate in international law from University College London’s Faculty of Laws in the United Kingdom.
Patel has previously served as the National Security Advisor and Senior Counsel for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI).
