King’s College London launches award for Indian students

The Vice-Chancellor’s Awards offer £10,000 fee reduction to Indian students pursuing postgraduate studies

King’s College London has introduced the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards, aimed at supporting Indian students pursuing postgraduate studies at the university.

Indian-origin professor Shitij Kapur, vice-chancellor of King’s College London,  announced the initiative, which offers a £10,000 ($12,923) fee waiver for students enrolling in full-time, on-campus postgraduate programs starting in September 2025.

The awards are designed to empower Indian students committed to making a positive societal impact through their education.

Key details of the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards

To apply, students must submit their applications by April 25 and must accept their study offer and pay the required deposit by May 31. Final applications are due by 5 p.m. on May 31.

Eligible faculties include Arts & Humanities, The Dickson Poon School of Law, Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience, King’s Business School, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural, Mathematical, and Engineering Sciences, Nursing, Midwifery & Palliative Care, and Social Science & Public Policy.

The application process involves answering a series of questions set by the university, and candidates will be evaluated based on academic credentials and their potential to contribute positively to society. All awards will be announced by the end of July 2025.
