'Know India' Initiative invites young diaspora to experience India

This initiative presents a unique opportunity to connect with India and contribute to its transformative future.

The Ministry of External Affairs, India, is organizing the "Know India Programme" (KIP) for young adults from the Indian Diaspora. The 80th edition will be held from Dec. 29, 2024 to Jan. 17, 2025, and the 81st edition will be held from Jan. 2-21, 2025. 

The KIP initiative is designed for young adults aged 21-35, aiming to connect them with India’s contemporary art, culture, and innovative developments. Participants will also gain insight into the government’s initiatives toward building a "Viksit Bharat" (Developed India), and many of the program’s expenses will be covered by the Indian government.



These editions will coincide with the 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention and offer participants an opportunity to explore India’s rich heritage, culture, economy, and technological advancements.

According to the minister of community and personnel, Jag Mohan the aim is to proactively reach young adults in the Indian Diaspora to secure their maximum participation in these editions. 

The deadline for the 80th edition of the KIP application is Dec. 5, 2024, while the 81st edition’s deadline is Dec. 9.
