Indian American executive from New Jersey and 1996 doctoral graduate from Penn State’s Donald P. Bellisario College of Communications, Krishna Kishore has been awarded the Outstanding Alumni Award by the college’s Alumni Society Board.
The Outstanding Alumni Award is presented to graduates who have demonstrated excellence in the field of communications. Kishore, who currently serves as senior director at PricewaterhouseCoopers was recognized for his exceptional career throughout which he has effectively applied his education and research to navigate and succeed in a competitive industry.
According to the university, Kishore is a pioneer in Penn State’s doctoral communications program, where played a crucial role in laying the foundation for the program’s ongoing success, influencing subsequent generations of students.
Commenting on the recognition and the growth of the college, Kishore stated “As I stand here today receiving the outstanding alumni award from Bellisario college of communications, I am filled with Immense pride, not just in my own journey but the in the journey of this incredible institution that has shaped so many of us.”
Recalling his experience as a doctoral graduate of the second batch of the college, and highlighting the growth of the program, he stated “we have come a long way and what I see here is nothing short than remarkable”
Kishore has held several leadership roles throughout his career. At PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) since 2019, he oversees M&A knowledge and content strategy. Previously, he worked at Deloitte for over 13 years, where he held various roles, including Global Knowledge Leader and Knowledge Leader for Technology, Media, and Telecommunications (TMT).
He also served as the Director of Professional Services at Loral Space and Communications and Director of Global Marketing (Asia-Pacific) at Telcordia Technologies. Kishore began his career in strategy and operations consulting at The Eastern Management Group and also taught communications courses at Penn State University.
Kishore holds a Ph.D. in Telecommunications from Penn State University, an Executive Program in Artificial Intelligence at MIT Sloan School of Management (2018) and a Master of Science (M.S.) in Communications from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in 1991.
