An indescribable calmness in Lakshmi Shankarreddy's paintings draws viewers to spend hours gazing at them, contemplating the thoughts behind. Her canvas is mainly dominated by the shifting moods of nature, describing life in different forms. She confesses to not restricting herself to specific mediums, whether it is wielding brushes or the tip of knives.
Sometimes, she simply dips her fingers in paint to give texture to her artwork, adding a bit of rawness to it.
The San Francisco-based artist says, "I love experimenting with oil paints. Something about them excite me. But as one evolves, I have also found my own path and style to make my artwork more appealing and meaningful. Now my approach to art is primarily a fusion. And, this fusion extends to my methodology and philosophy as well. Everything I've observed, read, and studied reflects my journey as an artist.”
