Lexitas, a Huston-based leader in litigation services and legal technology, has appointed Nishat Mehta as chief executive officer, with outgoing CEO Gary Buckland transitioning to the role of chairman.
Mehta, who joined Lexitas in 2024 as chief operating officer and president, brings extensive experience in technology and customer-focused solutions. In his new role, he aims to guide the company through a year of growth, marked by the rollout of AI-assisted tools and service enhancements designed to increase efficiency and reduce costs for clients.
In 2025, Lexitas plans to introduce an AI-enabled deposition analysis platform and expand its “eLaw® case tracking system” to Florida. These advancements reflect the company’s commitment to leveraging technology for the legal profession.
