King's College, London has announced a new scholarship program exclusively for Indian students.

The 10,000 pound scholarship (US $12,657) will be awarded to 30 Indian students as part of  the Vice Chancellor's Prize, introduced by vice-chancellor and president of King’s College London, Professor.

Students who begin full-time, on-campus postgraduate studies in September 2024 are eligible for the award. It is valid for all six of the university's faculties, including King's Business School; Dickson Poon School of Law; Faculty of Natural, Mathematical, and Engineering Science; Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience; and the Faculty of Life Sciences and Medicine.

The award program will be piloted in India, a key target country listed in the government's International Education Strategy, to boost the diversity and presence of PGT students residing at King's.

“I’m delighted that King’s has launched the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards. Attracting the brightest minds from India and indeed all over the world, is part of our mission to make the world a better place. I left India myself to pursue post-graduate studies, so I’m pleased that King’s can offer the same opportunity to others,” Kapur remarked.

"Having a diverse student population mix, made up of home and international students contributes to the thriving community at King’s, and supports diversity of thought and the coming together of those with differing lived experiences,” he added.
