Lummus appoints Deepak Martin as chief human resources officer

Houston-based technologies and energy solutions company Lummus Technology, announced the appointment of Indian-origin human resource strategist Deepak Martin as the company’s chief human resources officer. 

In this newly created role, Martin will be responsible for overseeing all human resources functions, including talent management, global operations, recruiting, learning and development, and compensation and benefits, a company statement said..

Leon de Bruyn, president and CEO of Lummus Technology, commented on Martin’s appointment and said, "As an IP-based company, Lummus' success depends on our ability to attract, develop and retain the brightest minds in our industry. With Deepak's extensive global experience in talent management, culture transformation and organizational design, I am confident he will play a pivotal role in keeping IP and innovation at the forefront of everything we do."

Martin, who previously led human resources for Dover Corporation's clean energy and ueling segment, expressed enthusiasm for his new role. "I look forward to collaborating across all levels of the organization to ensure we constantly evolve with our industry and our customers and serve as a catalyst for employee development and professional growth." 

With over two decades of experience in human resources leadership roles worldwide, Martin has extensive expertise in integrating organizational culture, processes, and systems, and designing strategies to align with business objectives.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Baldwin Methodist College in India  and a master’s degree in business administration and human resources from the University of Wales.
