Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh's two wax statues were unveiled at Madame Tussauds in London. The figures will be displayed at the London and Singapore museums.

As it was a first for the actor, he welcomed his two new figures alongside his mother, who first introduced him to the world of Madame Tussauds by showing him pictures of her own visits to the iconic attraction.

Posing with the statues, Singh shared the pictures on Instagram with the caption,  "Gratitude fills me as my figure stands amongst the most accomplished personalities in the world. An unforgettable moment, compelling me to reflect on the magical cinematic journey that has led me to this moment."

The museum announced his figures in 2019 when the actor received the Madame Tussauds of the Future Award at the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA). According to a statement, the 38-year-old actor was involved in the creative process from styling for his figures.

The Singapore figure, designed by Gaurav Gupta, dons a custom tuxedo featuring a velvet blazer with floral embellishments. Meanwhile, the London figure pays homage to Singh's culture and heritage with the neon sherwani designed by Manish Arora.

Expressing delight on their unveiling, Singh said, "As a child my mother first told me about Madame Tussauds. Ever since a young age, I have had a fascination for this mythical, magical place called Madame Tussauds and it’s been incredible to see how the journey of life works. It is a hugely proud moment for me and for my family. It is a significant achievement to have your figure at Madame Tussauds because the attraction recognises excellence in each respective field, so to be in such an esteemed company feels really wonderful.”

IIFA's co-founder Andre Timmins, who was also present while unveiling the statues, said, “It is so exciting for IIFA to be a part of this unveiling for Ranveer’s Madame Tussauds’ figure launch as it was at the 2011 IIFA Awards, Toronto where he won his first Best Debutant Award, and said on stage that "this is just the beginning”.

Madame Tussauds Singapore's statement mentioned that Ranveer Singh's Singapore figure will be unveiled from December 23, 2023, within the IIFA Awards Experience zone, Singapore. He will feature alongside other well-known celebrity figures including, Virat Kohli, Karan Johar, Michael Jackson, and Priyanka Chopra.
