The United States has always been a land of opportunity, a beacon for the world's brightest minds to come, innovate, and contribute to its unparalleled economic success. Today, America stands at a critical juncture with the decisive leadership of President Donald Trump committed to making America Great Again, for which it's essential to have its competitive edge in technology, business, and global influence. The critical talent gap is filled by international students and technologists, most of whom are of Indian origin. Long green card delays shackle them. There is a vital need to eliminate these delays.
President Trump has shown tremendous momentum in taking executive action. It would be important to take executive action and grant Employment Authorization Documents (EADs) to individuals and their families with approved I-140 petitions who have been stuck in the visa backlog for years, along with their ageing out (21 years) children. Such a decision would not only strengthen the U.S. economy but also reaffirm America's position as the ultimate destination for high-skilled talent.
