Commissioner Raghu Reddy, a prominent community leader, philanthropist, and office bearer of several Telugu and Kannada associations in the US, presented the Proclamation to CM Revanth Reddy.
The Proclamation recognized the Chief Minister's efforts in attracting investments to Telangana and strengthening the bilateral relationship between Telangana and California. It highlighted the Telangana government’s initiatives, such as the new Skills University, AI City, and Future City, which aim to position Telangana as a global hub for innovation and investment.
During the reception, Commissioner Reddy assured CM Revanth Reddy and the IT and Industries Minister Sridhar Babu of his full support in facilitating further collaboration between Telangana and California.
The Chief Minister praised the Indian diaspora for their pivotal role in strengthening the India-US partnership across various sectors. He emphasized the significance of their contributions and invited them to invest in Telangana, noting the state’s favorable environment for business and innovation.
Commissioner Raghu Reddy, who hails from the Suryapet district of Telangana, is the first India-born Telugu commissioner in Milpitas City. Having migrated to the United States two decades ago, he has been a dedicated advocate for the Indian community. Commissioner Reddy is also considering a run for City Mayor in the upcoming elections, a move that could further elevate his influence within the community.
