In a congratulatory message, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi lauded the Infinity Foundation for its three-decade-long commitment to preserving and enriching Bharat’s rich intellectual and cultural heritage. The message came as the Princeton-based non-profit, founded by author and researcher Rajiv Malhotra, marked its 30th anniversary on Apr. 19.
The Infinity Foundation, known for its focus on research and education, has been a significant voice in promoting Indian civilization studies and decolonizing narratives around Indian knowledge systems.
Modi wrote that there is a great interest in knowing about the country, its history and heritage due to Bharat’s phenomenal growth across multiple sectors. He added it is important that Bharatiyas, both in the motherland and outside, are well equipped to communicate their knowledge with an informed and insightful perspective. “Rajiv Malhotra’s important contributions to intellectual discourse over the decades have played a significant role in developing an educated understanding of Bharatiya heritage and culture globally.”

The Indian PM highlighted that the Infinity Foundation has given an institutional impetus to Malhotra’s efforts by educating and nurturing new generation of thinkers who work at the intersection of intellectual rigor and civilizational confidence, especially among the Bharatiya diaspora. “Institutions like the Infinity Foundation also strengthen the connection between global Bharatiyas and their roots by encouraging younger generations to explore culture, spirituality, literature and classical arts.”
PM Modi said the richness of Bharatiya thought, the celebratory spirit of culture, wholesome view of life, and the depth of spiritual systems can be a source of strength and solace. “I am confident that institutions like the Infinity Foundation will help in the world’s engagement with Bharatiya culture with even greater vigor in the coming decades.”
Last month, Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Founder of Art of Living, also congratulated Malhotra on completion of 30 years of his Infinity Foundation. In a short video posted on Mar.11, he lauded Malhotra for his passion about Sanatana Dharma. “He is so passionate about the Bharatiyata and he has been working day and night fighting against all injustice and misrepresentation of the ancient culture of India.”
