The National Cricket League (NCL) Canada has expanded professional cricket across North America by officially acquiring the rights to Canada GT20. This acquisition strengthens the country’s international presence and unlocks new cross-border and commercial opportunities. It also supports the ICC’s vision for global growth and grassroots development.
Jack Matthews, co-owner of NCL Canada, believes Canada has the talent and passion to be a global cricket powerhouse. In a statement, he highlighted that they are building a sustainable ecosystem that develops stars, attracts investments, and grows the game for future generations.
Arun Agarwal, Chairman of NCL Canada, said this partnership strengthens Canada’s cricket foundation and positions them for long-term success. “It allows us to elevate competition, invest in infrastructure, and attract top-tier talent.”
