Navitas Solar, a prominent player in India's solar energy sector has entered into a strategic collaboration with US-based Sustainable Equity, Colby Solar, Pruitt & Associates, and Energized Ventures, with legal assistance from Husch Blackwell and Bricker Graydon, as well as consultation from Attracting Resources.
The collaboration's goal is to enhance Navitas Solar's international presence by distributing their solar modules in North America through a newly established entity called Geosol Global Distribution. Additionally, they plan to manufacture solar modules in the United States using their 1.2 GW facility, currently under development in the American Midwest.
According to a release, the formation of "Navitas USA by Colby," a new entity, will introduce global manufacturing expertise, innovative products, and a customer-focused approach to the North American market. Through the Navitas USA by Colby project, the Indian firm aims to revolutionize the renewable energy landscape in North America.
The project is committed to ensuring 30 per cent minority workforce participation apart from creating over 500 jobs. Additionally, the initiative will provide training and growth and set up programs to remove barriers in the industry. Comprehensive information about the strategic alliance and its far-reaching effects will be unveiled exclusively during the RE+ event in Las Vegas, the release stated.
