Netflix dropped the trailer for the upcoming Bollywood “whodunnit” thriller drama, ‘Murder Mubarak’ on Mar.5.
The movie set to release on March 15 stars actor Pankaj Tripathi as the detective, along with an ensemble cast of Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Dimple Kapadia, Karisma Kapoor, and others.
The film is set in an elite Delhi Royal Club, where unsettling events disrupt the atmosphere. Tripathi’s character, a determined cop with unconventional methods, navigates the web of lies, love, and hidden agendas to expose the darkest secrets of the seven club members to figure out “who did the murder?”
The plot, written by Anuja Chauhan, Gazal Dhaliwal and Suprotim Sengupta, has been directed ‘Being Cyrus’ director Homi Adajania and produced by Mahammad Sabir Sheikh, Amit Tomar and Dinesh Vijan.
Expressing excitement for the trailer launch, Adajania said, “This film is about a murder mystery that unravels many more mysteries once the investigation starts. It’s captivating and hilarious at the same time.”
Producer Vijan added, “From script to screen, ‘Murder Mubarak’ is a labor of love that we can’t wait to share with audiences.”
Netflix India’s director of Original Films, Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, highlighted the film’s diverse appeal. “‘Murder Mubarak’ is an entertaining whodunit headlined by a stellar ensemble cast. Director Homi Adajania has crafted a thriller with captivating twists and turns,” Sheikh asserted.
