Nikki Haley, who’s everything as the second best candidate after Donald Trump among Republican voters in New Hampshire, has received a new nickname from her frontrunner.

Trump, who had earlier termed Haley a “birdbrain.” recently blasted for the tax policies she supports, and gave her a new nickname that is reflective of the same. “KISS OF DEATH: Nikki New Taxes,” the email from Trump’s campaign committee branded Haley.

“The truth is finally coming out about Nikki Haley’s troublesome record showing her total disdain for the working class and a willingness to sell out to lobbyist parasites,” the email read, according to a NY Post report.

“She pushed for a WHOPPING 60 percent increase in the state gas tax in South Carolina after promising voters she would never do so. She also voted for an unconscionable 20 percent increase in the state sales tax, making her the enemy of the working-class and an ally of lobbyist cronies taking advantage of impressionable politicians looking for their approval,” it added.

In 2015, during her term as S.C. governor, Haley  proposed that she would support a gasoline tax increase, only if the legislature would cut the state’s income tax and restructure the Department of Transportation.

In the email, Trump campaign spokesman Steven Cheung, called Haley a “RINO” – Republican in name only – for supporting entitlement reforms such as “ripping away Medicare and Social Security and increasing the retirement age.” In March 2023, Haley called for increasing the retirement age for Americans in their 20s who were just hitting the job market, as well as limiting Social Security and Medicare for wealthy citizens.

While Haley has come in strong against her former boss Trump’s policies in the past, she reflected on a “good working relationship” with him in December 2023. In an interview with ABC Chief Washington Correspondent Jonathan Karl on the network show “This Week,” Haley said, "There are things I agree with the president on. I had a good working relationship with him.”

She further added, “There are things I don't agree. I don't agree with the fact that, yes, we had a good economy while he was there but he put us $8 trillion in debt that our kids are never going to forgive us for.”
