Republican presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley has stronger overall support among registered voters in a head-to-head matchup against President Joe Biden, as compared to former President Donald Trump.
A new Marquette Law School Poll national survey found that Trump is the choice of 51 percent of registered voters against Joe Biden, while Haley is preferred by 58 percent of registered voters over Biden.
Haley, who has emphasized her chances of winning the general election against Biden, posted the poll results on X. “BREAKING: New national @mulaw poll shows I beat Biden by 18 points! Trump is – again – within the margin of error. Republicans have been losing under Trump for the past seven years. Let’s make Republicans win again!” she wrote.
Just because Donald Trump says something doesn't make it true. The latest Marquette poll has me beating Biden by 18 points. Trump? It's a statistical tie.

In 2023, only 40 per cent of Republicans and Republican-leaning voters said they would support Trump as the nominee while 5 per cent of voters chose Haley.
Support for Trump among the group has grown by 33 points while Haley’s campaign saw a 10 point increase during the 11 months between March 2023 to February 2024.
The survey, conducted from February 5 to 15, among 882 registered voters nationwide, comes just a day before Trump and Haley face-off in the latter’s home state of South Carolina for the Republican primary, scheduled for Feb. 24.
