Nikki Haley leads among voters who have unfavorable view of Donald Trump
56 per cent of respondents who have an unfavorable view of Donald Trump said they are most likely to vote for Nikki Haley, as per Saint Anselm College Survey Center poll.

In New Hampshire, registered voters who have an unfavorable view of Donald Trump, are in support of Republican presidential primary candidate Nikki Haley.
A new poll conducted by the Saint Anselm College Survey Center (SACSC) at the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) has found that the support for Haley has doubled from 15 percent in September to 30 percent in December 2023, weeks away from the First in the Nation Primary (FINP) scheduled to take place in the state on January 23.
56 percent of respondents who do not like Trump chose Haley as their preference, compared to 31 percent who chose Chris Christie.
However, Trump is still the frontrunner in New Hampshire, with 44 percent of respondents saying he is their preferred candidate on the ballot. Currently, he holds a 14-point lead over his closest competitor, Haley, who recently received the endorsement of N.H. Governor Chris Sununu.
NHIOP Executive Director Neil Levesque in a statement, said, “After earning the key endorsement of New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu, former Ambassador Nikki Haley has broken away from the pack pursuing former President Donald Trump and become the clear alternative. However, even after cutting Trump’s lead in half, she still trails as his support remains steady in the mid-40’s. Trump’s supporters seem undeterred by the former president’s ongoing legal challenges.”
The poll revealed that 22 percent of GOP primary voters said they have a “strongly favorable” view of Haley. 17 percent of respondents said they have a “strongly unfavorable” view of her, and 37 percent said they have no opinion of her.
It also revealed that Haley’s male support base is larger than her female support base. 69 percent of respondents having a “favorable” opinion of her are aged 65 and above. The poll reveals she is unpopular among people aged between 55 and 64, with 45 percent of the respondents from the group saying they have an “unfavorable” view of her.
The findings are drawn from a survey collected between December 18th and 19th, 2023, from 1711 N.H. likely voters in the FINP.
