Niraj Antani raises over $600k for Congressional campaign
This amount covers his entire 4th quarter campaign finance filings

Ohio State Senator Niraj Antani announced that he has raised $612,348 for his congressional campaign in just 38 days. This amount covers his entire 4th quarter campaign finance filings, starting from the official announcement on November 14 to the conclusion on December 31.
These funds include no contributions from the general election fund and do not involve any self-funding, he clarified in a post on X on January 3.
“I am so deeply grateful for my supporters. Their support is extremely appreciated and I am very grateful. I have fought for the American Dream every day in the Ohio legislature, and I’ll do the same in Congress,” he posted.
“This sum vaults us into the top-tier of this race as we enter the new year and march towards the primary election day on March 19th. Now, we will work to raise the rest of the funds needed to win,” he added.

Antani’s congressional bid follows the retirement of Congressman Brad Wenstrup from Ohio’s 2nd Congressional District on November 8, 2023. Covering 16 counties across about 150 miles in southern Ohio, the 2nd Congressional District is characterized by a notably Republican-leaning partisan voter index. The Republican primary in Ohio is slated for March 19, 2024.
Antani, who hails from southern Ohio, holds the distinction of being the first member of the state General Assembly to endorse President Trump for the 2024 election. If elected, he would make history as the first Republican Hindu member of Congress.
Currently in his first term in the Ohio Senate, following three terms as a State Representative in the Ohio House of Representatives, Antani took office as Ohio State Senator in January 2021.
He completed his education at Miamisburg High School and earned a bachelor's degree from Ohio State University. In recognition of his achievements, he was included in Forbes Magazine's list of the top 30 under 30 individuals in the United States for Law and Politics in 2015.
