India's U21 squad delivered an outstanding performance at the World Archery Youth Championships 2023 held at the University of Limerick, Ireland. Led by Parth Salunke, the Indian squad secured 11 medals, comprising six gold, one silver, and four bronze medals.
Parth Salunke, who had previously contributed to India's success at the 2021 edition of the championships, clinched an individual gold medal as one of the world's top young archers. He also teamed up with compatriot Ridhi to secure a bronze medal in the mixed-team event.
In the women's recurve category, Ridhi, Bhargaviben Vargishkumar Bhagora, and Bhajan Kaur won the bronze medal finish in the team event.
Meanwhile, the Indian men's compound team, led by Priyansh, Prathamesh Jawkar and Kushal Dalal won a gold medal in the team event.
On the women's compound side, Avneet Kaur, Parneet Kaur, and Pragati won a gold medal in the women's team event.
