PM Modi participates in Tech CEOs roundtable in New York

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with global technology industry leaders at a roundtable event in New York, organized by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) School of Engineering.
The roundtable centered around key discussions on Artificial Intelligence (AI), Quantum Computing, Biotechnology, Life Sciences, and Semiconductor technologies, highlighted the rapidly evolving global tech landscape.
During the meeting, CEOs discussed how advancements in these cutting-edge fields are shaping the future of industries and contributing to societal well-being, both globally and in India. The roundtable explored how innovations in technology are revolutionizing the global economy and fostering human development.

Prime Minister Modi expressed appreciation for the efforts of MIT School of Engineering and its dean for facilitating the gathering. He emphasized that collaborations in technology, including the Initiative on Critical and Emerging Technologies (ICET), form the cornerstone of the India-US Comprehensive Global Strategic Partnership.
In line with this vision, Modi reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that India becomes the third-largest economy in the world during his third term as Prime Minister.
Encouraging the participants to leverage India’s growth story, Modi urged the CEOs to co-develop, co-design, and co-produce technologies in India. He emphasized India's dedication to protecting intellectual property and fostering a climate of tech innovation, ensuring that companies can benefit from India's expanding economic and technological landscape.
The Prime Minister highlighted India's transformation in sectors such as electronics and information technology manufacturing, semiconductors, biotech, and green development. He reaffirmed the government's goal of establishing India as a global hub for semiconductor manufacturing.
Additionally, Modi discussed India's BIO E3 policy, which aims to make the country a biotech powerhouse, and underscored India’s approach to AI, centered on ethical and responsible use under its "AI for All" policy.
The technology leaders expressed a strong interest in increasing their investments in India, praising the country's emergence as a global technology hub. They noted that India's innovation-friendly policies and thriving market offer tremendous potential for future collaborations, particularly in the startup ecosystem, where new technologies can be developed and scaled globally.
Professor Anantha Chandrakasan, chief innovation and strategy officer and dean of the MIT School of Engineering, who chaired the roundtable, thanked Prime Minister Modi and the CEOs for their participation. He reiterated MIT's commitment to advancing technology and making it accessible for the betterment of global communities.
Notable CEOs who attended the roundtable included leaders from companies such as Accenture, Adobe, AMD, Google, IBM, and NVIDIA, among others.
